Mr. Axelrod!
For using exceptional powers of logic and math (per Mikes notation), Mr. Axelrod bested Ian in the competition to guess how much our new car cost to purchase from Japan, import to South Africa, and transport to Malawi. The answer: $4,900.
For winning the inaugural quiz competition, Mr. Axelrod wins a postcard from Malawi. Congratulations!
Holy shiite, I'm practically famous! Nice blog guys...keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteKeep this up and it won't be practical anymore. I dropped the postcard yesterday, let the clock begin.
DeleteUtilizing superior math skills, we can now answer the question: How long does a postcard take to get from Malawi to the U.S.? Specifically to Washington, DC? Answer: Postcard sent October 1 (assuming we can believe Zach). Postcard received magically in D.C. on October 22 (we can believe me). That makes 20 days of travel time between there and here. Go world mail! Less than three weeks from a place most 'mericans don't know exists to our capitol city. Zoom.
DeleteInteresting! You are the first to document travel time with great clarity. Twenty days strikes me as faster than I would have expected. Now, if only my ballot would arrive...
